Trial continues for house party shooting suspect
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The trial of a Yuma man involved in a house party shooting which killed two people continues Tuesday.
Cross examinations took place Tuesday in the trial of a Yuma man accused of murdering two young men at a house party.
Detectives and forensics were called to the stand as witnesses in the case.
They were questioned and cross-examined regarding evidence ranging from bullet shells to bloodied clothes.
20-year-old Jose Lopez is facing two counts of first-degree murder and five counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
He is accused of being involved in a house party shooting, resulting in the deaths of 19-year-old Danny Garcia and 20-year-old Ande Blackthunder.
Closing arguments are set to take place this week, with a possible verdict as early as Thursday.
