Yuma fundraiser to support families of crash victims

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - This Sunday, the Yuma community is coming together to support two families still grieving the loss of their loved ones.

The Orozco and Palacio families are hosting a Heart Fundraiser this Sunday at Sage and Sand Cocktail Lounge.

The event aims to provide financial assistance and emotional support to the families of Adrian Palacio and Jovan Orozco who tragically lost their lives in a car crash this past January.

Event organizer Danna Romero emphasizes that while months have passed, the grief remains heavy for the families.

"I mean, that would be great if you, you know, came out and came out to support the fundraisers so we can help the families, um, through this tragic loss," Romero said. "Um, it was in January, but grief comes in waves and, you know, um, whatever we raise is gonna be, I, I know that it's gonna be a huge help to the families."

The fundraiser will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sage and Sand Cocktail Lounge. Community members are encouraged to attend and show their support.
