Tracking a seasonable close to summer and pleasant start to Fall

Today is the final day of summer, and we are closing the season with nice and seasonable conditions. I am tracking a great and also seasonable start to the fall season. We are in for a little warm-up that will arrive later this week.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Happy Monday! Today is the final day of summer.  I am tracking nice and comfortable conditions. Humidity is staying low and dry, with temperatures trending seasonable this afternoon. At least we are having a nice close to the summer season. Enjoy!

The countdown to fall continues. We are just 1 more day away from the fall season beginning. Fall will officially begin at 5:05 pm here in the Desert Southwest tomorrow.

It will be a beautiful and quiet evening with clear skies, cool temperatures, dry conditions, and light winds for our final night of summer.

Nice weather to spend time outdoors.

For the first half of the week, we are in for dry and comfortable conditions.

I am tracking a low-pressure system that may bring in some moisture into the area. Shower chances will favor eastern Arizona by the middle of the week. Higher chances for isolated storms in the Desert Southwest are looking to favor later this week.

TRACKING THE TROPICS: We have a newly developed tropical storm named Polo that formed along the coast of Mexico today. Right now Polo is at a Category 1 Hurricane and is expected to intensify into a CAT 5 (major hurricane) in the days ahead.

This may bring in some clouds, humidity, and possible rain chances this week to the Desert Southwest.

It is still very uncertain, but this is something I am tracking.

I am also watching for another tropical storm that may develop in the Pacific and along the coast of Mexico in the days ahead.

Chance for rain is looking to increase on Thursday with slight chances Friday and even on Sunday.

We will wrap up the summer season on a good note and will kick off fall with slightly cooler and fantastic weather.

Temperatures are expected to warm up to above-normal levels come late this week and into the weekend.

I am watching for rain chances being possible later this week; stay tuned.
