Harlem holds annual Holiday Lights Celebration Parade

HARLEM, N.Y. (CBS, KYMA) - The 125th Harlem Holiday Lights Celebration took over NYC's Harlem neighborhood Tuesday evening.

The event is NYC's only illuminated holiday parade, and featured the UniverSoul Circus, a Black-owned circus group.

According to the organizers, this year's Harlem Holiday Lights parade "celebrates Culture, Community, Connections, honoring Harlem's generational legacy and vibrant future."

Harlem-raised actor and philanthropist Malik Yoba served as Grand Marshal.

The iconic Apollo Theater, which celebrated its 90th anniversary this year, was also honored during the parade with a special float.
