NBC 11 Sports: Cardinals and Suns both fall in overtime on Christmas

YUMA, Ariz., (KYMA, KECY) - Christmas Day gifted Arizona sports fans with a lot of sports action to help fill the holiday, only to feel the disappointment in the night cap.

While the Phoenix Suns traveled to Denver in the final NBA game slot, the Cardinals got to play on their home field on Christmas for the second straight year - although home field hasn't been very giving to the Cardinals in 2022.

The Cardinals lost a 16-6 lead in the fourth quarter, only to lose to Tom Brady and the Buccaneers in overtime - ultimately falling to 1-8 in home games.

The Suns also let a late lead slip, falling in overtime to Denver who was led by a triple-double and 41 points from Nikola Jokic.
