NBC 11 Sports: Rams rise and Crims fall

The Antelope Rams volleyball team break a two game losing skid while Yuma extends theirs to six

WELLTON, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - After starting the season 7-0, the Antelope Rams dropped their last two contests. On Tuesday, the Rams hosted the Frogs of Salome Frogs, a team they defeated on the road in four sets on September 13th.

On Tuesday night, the Rams finished off Salome in straight sets in the Ira Murphy Gym 25-16, 25-21 and 26-24.

Marissa Jimenez led the Rams with 10 kills. Marissa Carillo added six kills and 12 assists

Abi Amador pitched in with 15 digs in the secondset and Marissa Jimenez contributed with 6 kills and slammed down the final point to close out the second set.

In the third and deciding set, Marissa Jimena had 3 kills. Yareli Manriquez served two aces and Jimena Arana slammed down the final kill of the night.

With the win, Antelope improves to 8-2 on the season and next travel to Mayer High School on Thursday.
