Calexico girls flag football clinches share of IVL title

CALEXICO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The Calexico Bulldogs defeated the Brawley Wildcats 27-0 at Ward Field on Monday.

Calexico moves to 15-2 and clinches at least a share of the Imperial Valley League title. Brawley falls to 14-4.

Giovanna Ortiz connected with Paula Cruz for two touchdowns in the first half. The Bulldogs led 13-0 at halftime and cruised the rest of the way.

On Thursday, Calexico is at home against Southwest. They will clinch the outright IVL title with a win. Brawley is home against Imperial.
