Matadors baseball avoids late rally loss while softball isn't so lucky

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Athletes competed with friends at Yuma Special Olympics track and field to qualify for the statewide competition in Glendale on May 7-9.

Matadors baseball came out on top 8-7 in 11 innings against Yavapai College after the Roughriders mounted a three-run ninth inning to take the games to extras.

AWC softball fell victim to a late rally. After holding a 2-1 lead for most of the game, they also allowed a three-run final frame, resulting in the loss.
