Rams getting recognized

AUHS baseball & softball players receiving section honors

WELLTON, Ariz., (KYMA, KECY) - The 1A West Section gave special recognition to some of the student athletes that play both baseball and softball for Antelope Union High School.

For Rams baseball, 8 players made the All Region team.

Short stop Xavier Carrillo and 3rd baseman Martin Hernandez secured spots on the 1st team.

Pitcher Trey Holbein, Armando Guillen, Wyatt Harris and Trent Pelfrey all made the cut for the 2nd team, while Able Nunez and William Whitley each got honorable mention.

Meanwhile, Antelope's softball program also got 8 representatives on the All Region team.

Pitcher Lizeth Agundez, short stop Jaslynn Agundez and center fielder Mykayla Romine are on the 1st team.

The trio of Alyssa Colunga, Jocelyn Guillen and Ellaina Nieto made the 2nd team honor roll.

The 2 honorable mentions from the Rams are Yamali Manriquez and Jimena Arana.
