Man sentenced to 20 years in prison
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - On Monday, March 7, Perry Edward Davis was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the distribution of fentanyl which lead to the death of a man.
Joshua Chambers, 25, was a husband and father two who collapsed on December 21, 2019 due to an opioid overdose and never recovered. He was then pronounced deceased.
Chambers and two others were believed to have taken cocaine laced with fentanyl and evidence pointed towards Davis who mixed the two substances.
“The effect fentanyl has is way worse, way more deadly, than other highly addictive and dangerous drugs that we see," said Judge Burns.
