UPDATE: YPD arrests armed robbery suspect

Robber reportedly wore ski mask during Saturday holdup

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Police Department (YPD) says its made an arrest in a Saturday morning armed robbery.

has identified the ski-mask-wearing suspect whom armed himself with a knife early Saturday morning during a robbery.

Monday morning, YPD Public Affairs Sergeant Lori Franklin publicized the robber as Jose Zavala.

She says officers found him in the 1900 block of 3rd Avenue. Police booked him on numerous charges, including armed robbery.

Sgt. Franklin clarified that officers recovered all of the money and property Zavala took.

No injuries have been reported, and the case is still under investigation.
