Patrick Clancy’s new wife to appear on ’60 Minutes’

(CBS, KYMA) - The ex-husband of Lindsay Clancy, the Massachusetts mother accused of killing her three children, sits down for an exclusive interview on "60 Minutes" this Sunday on CBS, along with his new wife.

In the interview, Patrick Clancy's new wife, Rachel Danis, a fertility doctor in New York, defended her husband against criticism of their marriage and his role as a father and husband.

The trial against his ex-wife ended in a mistrial earlier this month after the jury was unable to agree on a verdict.

Clancy remarried three years after the tragedy, but the couple has been unable to escape the court of public opinion.

"I don't understand how this story has been so twisted but I would hope people know that Pat is, as I said before, the most selfless father and supportive partner and I was just a girl that met a guy running in Central Park on a really cold Saturday and I don't think there's anything wrong with that," Danis expressed.

In a statement to CBS News, the lone holdout juror in the trial said in part, "Based on all the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the prosecution presents, I thought it was enough proof that she knew exactly what she was doing and planned."

Lindsay Clancy remains at the psychiatric hospital where she has been held since 2023, and a status hearing to determine the next steps in the case is set for next month.

To watch the full interview, tune in to "60 Minutes" this Sunday, September 20, at 7 p.m. Pacific on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
