Holiday wreaths placed on graves at Arlington National Cemetery

WASHINGTON (NBC, KYMA) - Thousands of holiday wreaths were placed on graves at Arlington National Cemetery Saturday.

For decades, Wreaths Across America has organized the momentous tribute to service members at military cemeteries nationwide.

The event brings out thousands of volunteers who place a wreath on all 265,000 headstones.

Arlington is one of more than 5,600 locations nationwide participating in wreaths across america.

The non-profit added more than 700 new locations to the event this year.
