Pumpkin in Europe weighs over 2,500 pounds

(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - A gourd of epic proportions: A Belgian grower has won the Annual European Pumpkin Weighing Championship.

His pumpkin tipped the scales at a massive 2,500 pounds, according to RTL Germany.

12 growers from across Europe competed in the championship.
