Truck drivers end protest at Mexicali Commercial Port of Entry

MEXICALI, Mexico (KYMA) - This past weekend marked the end of the blockade at the Mexicali Commercial Port of Entry.

For three days, truck drivers blocked entrances and exits at the Port of Entry due to ICE agents revoking their visas, under the suspicion of cabotage.

They met Monday morning with Mexican counsel representatives and business leaders to seek communication with the U.S. government.

"These are binational agreements...this is now a matter of foreign policy," said Alan Verdugo, a truck driver. "We, as drivers, only blocked the road to draw attention to our issue, and all we ask is that the cabotage laws be enforced."

According to drivers, up to seven visas were revoked at the same Port of Entry Monday.
