Truck drivers hold protest at Mexicali Commercial Port of Entry

MEXICALI, Mexico (KYMA) - Cargo truck drivers blocked the Commercial Port of Entry in Mexicali over ongoing visa revocations.

The truck drivers said their visas continue to be taken away, adding that on Wednesday alone, 17 visas were revoked.

They also said they're being harassed by ICE agents when they cross into the United States.

Some of them said they're now afraid to continue working and transporting cargo in the U.S.

"What they're doing to the truck drivers is a witch hunt; they're treating them like criminals, causing them psychological harm," said Alan Verdugo, a truck driver. "They no longer want to travel through Mexicali, and in the WhatsApp chat groups, everyone is asking if the ICE agents are at the border crossing."

The truck drivers said they might also block the San Luis Commercial Port of Entry.
