YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Tuesday marks the seventh day in the trial of a Yuma man involved in a house party shooting.

20-year-old Jose Lopez is being charged with two counts of first degree murder in the shooting deaths of 20-year-old Ande Blackthunder and 19-year-old Danny Garcia.

The prosecution delivered its closing arguments, telling the jury this was a premediated ambush.

The state told jurors to ask themselves one question: If the defendant helped in any way.

To support their claim, they showed multiple videos of the house party shooting as well as pictures of evidence.

The state prosecutor says bringing a firearm into the party was enough for it to be considered premediation, adding there's no reason to bring a gun to a party unless you're trying to use it.

"There's no reason to bring that to a teenager's party unless you're trying to kill someone. Unless you want to use it to kill someone and he fired 21 shots with it. The defendant was sitting along side him walking with him, aiming with him firing five shots all in each direction or at the kids trying to jump the wall."

Joshua Davis-Salsbury, Yuma County Deputy Attorney

The defense will present their closing arguments Wednesday.
