Protesters in California gather outside Tesla Diner

LOS ANGELES (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - In Los Angeles, protesters demonstrated outside the newly opened Tesla Diner in West Hollywood Saturday.

The two-story restaurant on Santa Monica Boulevard had a crowd of customers inside while outside, many waved picket signs and chanted slogans in a show of opposition.

This protest is part of the "Tesla Takedown" campaign, a larger movement aimed at drawing attention to concerns surrounding Elon Musk's influence and actions.

Among the primary concerns are claims that Musk has made cuts to humanitarian aid and his impact on American democracy.

The movement has also sparked protests at Tesla dealerships worldwide.
