Two patients in critical condition following Trump rally shooting

UPDATE (2:55 PM): The Pennsyvania State Police has released the names of the three people who were shot during the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump at a rally on Saturday in Butler County.

50-year-old Corey Comperatore was killed while attending the campaign rally Saturday. He was there with his wife and two daughters.

According to Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Comperatore dove over them to protect them when gunshots were fired.

A second victim has been identified as 57-year-old David Dutch, of New Kensington, Pennsylvania. He is currently listed in stable condition.

The third victim, 74-year-old James Copenhaver, of Moon Township, Pennsylvania is also listed in stable condition.

Governor Shapiro ordered united states and commonwealth flags on all commonwealth facilities, public buildings, and grounds across the commonwealth of Pennsylvania to fly at half-staff immediately in honor of Comperatore.

The governor also extended the prayers of all Pennsylvanians to the two Pennsylvanians who remain hospitalized and their families.

PITTSBURGH (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Two patients who attended former President Trump's rally remain in critical condition after they were admitted to a Pittsburgh hospital Saturday night.

Officials with the Allegheny Health Network confirmed to NBC News that both individuals were being treated at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

According to officials, the two patients, who were at Saturday's rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, are still in critical condition.

No other details have been released at this time.
