Somerton High School set to open Fall 2023

YUMA, Ariz. (KECY, KYMA) - Construction for Somerton High school is well underway, set to open one year from now.

This will be the first high school in Somerton and the seventh school in the Yuma Union High School District.

The land was purchased for this project in September of 2017 and they broke ground in November 2021.

Next fall, Somerton High School will welcome their first class of students, all freshman.

With the first graduating class being in 2027.
