Local AmeriCorps pledge to serve community

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY), Thirty-nine AmeriCorps members committed to a year of community service in Imperial County.

A ceremony was held Friday morning at the El Centro Courthouse, where each member pledged their service.

AmeriCorps is part of the Imperial County Office of Education.
Part of their community service duties includes tutoring at local schools as well as helping wherever help is need is.
