Volunteers prepare for National Red Shoe Day

It’s one week until National Red Shoe Day.

Volunteers for the event are putting together the finishing touches to make sure everything for the occasion runs smoothly.

Allegra Sonza , the major gifts officer for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego said volunteers are the bloodline for the organization.

” We’ll have over 700 hundred on the day of. Collecting money, building awareness about the Ronald McDonald house. And what we do for the families in the valley. All those that are here today. All those that are here today and those that are here tomorrow and those that will be out there on the 17th , are all here for a good cause. All a driving force to make sure that families in the valley have the support that they need, ” said Sonza .

National Red Shoe Day is next Thursday, October 17, where all money raised goes towards the Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. Giving families a home away from home as their child receives medical care.
