Firefighters rescue man stuck in palm tree
UPDATE (3:40 P.M.)
A man was hospitalized after fire officials said he became stuck in a palm tree while he was trimming it Wednesday.
According to the Yuma Fire Department, firefighters responded to a report of a man stuck in a palm tree shortly before noon at the 2200 block of West 20th Street. Firefighters arrived at the scene and found a man trapped in the canopy of a palm tree about 30 feet above the ground. Fire officials said the man was trimming the tree at the time.
Firefighters worked to cut several palm fronds away enough for the rescue. The man was removed from the tree by firefighters with the help of the 100-foot aerial ladder truck.
The man was transported to a nearby hospital where his condition is unknown.

The Yuma Fire Department is currently in the 2200 Block of West 20th Street assisting a person stuck in a palm tree.
