Yuma Investment Group presents “Golf for the Kids” tournament

The Yuma Investment Group Wealth Management, organized its second annual “Golf for the Kids Charity Classic” golf tournament at the Yuma Golf and Country Club Saturday.

The tournament began Saturday morning at 9 A.M. and a ceremony followed.

Each golfer registered for $150.

Amy Penny, development director for the association said all proceeds were put towards helping Arizona’s Children Association here in Yuma.

This means proceeds went to help local foster children in the welfare system or transitioning program.

“It’s very important that we take care of Yuma’s children, we are so thankful to Yuma Investment group for doing this,” Penny said.

Penny says she would also like to thank the two men who played a part in organizing the event: Tom Rush and Shawn McKeown.

The money helps license foster and kinship families as well as in-home support.

“All of it goes back to keeping a child in a secure safe home,” Penny said.
