City Calexico Recreation Dept. hosts first Christmas Home Decorating Contest

CALEXICO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - Get ready to decorate your house for Christmas.

From the City Calexico Recreation Department, they will host the first Christmas Home Decorating Contest.

However, this contest is only for houses within the City of Calexico and open to houses and front yards.

Also, Calexico residents can register their house with the Recreation Department by Thursday, December 1.

They can do this by calling the Recreation Department at (760) 768-2176 or click here.

Furthermore, the judging will be based on creativity, decorations, and overall theme, but there can be only one winner.

The Rec Department will announce the winner on Tuesday, December 6 by phone or on their Facebook page.

The winner will receive a decorative yard sign for them to proudly display on their yard.

In addition, the winner will receive a $100 cash prize.
