President Trump reportedly in no rush to replace Karoline Leavitt

(CNN, KYMA) - President Donald Trump is reportedly in no rush to name his next White House Press Secretary.

A top official said President Trump has expressed "zero urgency" about replacing Karoline Leavitt, who plans to leave the post at the end of August.

Sources said the White House could instead rely on a rotating cast of cabinet officials to handle briefings for an indefinite period.

About a dozen possible candidates are said to be in the mix. They include attorney Alina Habba, TV commentator Scott Jennings, Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly and former Homeland Security spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin.

Leavitt is expected to remain one of Trump's close advisers.
