Tracking nice temperatures and another round of winds on the way

Weather Authority/ KYMA

Tracking cooler than normal temperatures and breezy conditions through the midweek. However, I am tracking slightly warmer temperatures and the return of strong and gusty winds later this week.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Is it sweater weather yet? Maybe it was this morning, as we had lows in the 50s/60s. But this afternoon has been great as highs were in the upper 70s, which is well below-normal. It's been a great and comfortable day so far.

On our futuretrack hour-by-hour I am tracking a clear and cool evening! It will be a little breezy, but still should be a great evening ahead.

Still tracking winds coming from the west/northwest so it will be a little breezy just not as strong as last night. Gusts will be between 20-25 MPH through the night.

Breezy conditions will still linger into Wednesday with gustier winds moving in as early as Thursday and through Saturday.

It's going to be another chilly morning with overnight lows dipping into the mid and upper 50s and even some low 60s across the Desert Southwest. Make sure to grab a sweater before heading out the door Wednesday morning.

A lower pressure system toward our north will keep our temperatures cooler than normal, which is great. However, I am tracking gustier winds to impact the area later this week.

Speaking of gusty winds, prepare for stronger winds to move in late Thursday night and into Friday. I am tracking winds coming from the north/northeast with gusts between 40-45 MPH. It will bring windy and dusty conditions on Friday.

Tracking plenty of sunshine and drier conditions through the majority of the week. It will also stay breezy and cooler than normal for the next few days.

Temperatures will warm near-average toward the end of the week, but I am tracking the return of gusty winds and dust later this week and into the start of the weekend. There's also a slight chance for showers on Friday.

Also, the Fall Fest will kick off this Thursday in Yuma and temperatures will be great, but it's going to be windy. Stay tuned for more details.
