Tucker Carlson says he no longer supports Republican Party

(NBC, KYMA) - After more than three decades of being one of the loudest voices of GOP support on cable television and beyond, Tucker Carlson says no more.

Speaking last week on the podcast "Can't Be Censored," the long-time conservative commentator, said, "There's no chance I would support the Republican Party," ahead of the midterm elections this November.

He was quick to add that he would not be supporting the Democratic Party either, saying "I don't know what I'm going to do."

Carlson's comments come two months after he said he regretted supporting President Donald Trump in 2024.

His criticism of President Trump and the Republican Party reaching fever pitch following the start of the Iran war, saying it was spurred by Israel and not what's best for the United States.

Carlson was fired from Fox News in 2023, and has gone on to amass a large following on his own podcast.
