Ex-Trump allies step up attacks on former President Trump in their run for the White House

WASHINGTON (NBC / KMYA, KECY) - Playing hardball, Republican contenders amp up their launch in the 2024 Presidential race. The power of political pull, is in limbo for former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and former Vice President Mike Pence.

The Presidential Primary Election is less than a year away and the key role for opposing Trump candidates, is to navigate their way through his legal battles and use that ammunition against him, to gain power in polls. Trumps once strongest allies, are now bidding to defeat him in the race for the White House.

Turning former President's Trumps support base will be a tough bridge to tear down. The political fight ahead, is an uphill battle for the Republican contenders trying to gain speed along the campaign trail.
