Local leaders of parties react to Trump impeachment vote
YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KSWT, KECY)- President Trump's impeachment vote is just around the corner and people all over the world are watching the headlines closely.
All eyes on capitol hill as the historic Trump Impeachment vote could happen as early as Wednesday. Political leaders from both sides of the spectrum weighed in on the matter.
“That’s the leader of our country and no one wants to see the U.S. to fail it is very sad we’ve had to come to this point," said Bryan Rasmussen, the Chairman of the Yuma County Democratic Party.
“I personally think this whole thing is a scam," said Gilbert Hernandez, the Chairman of the Colorado River Tea Party Yuma.
With the impeachment vote in full effect and the 2020 elections approaching both sides to say that voting matters.
“That’s where the government power comes from, us the people and we get to elect them & overthrow the government every two years," said Rasmussen.
“We are making sure the values of our voting, the values of the people we elect into office," said Hernandez.
