Somerton hosts benefit concert for late band members

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Somerton community coming together, to pay tribute to the Somerton musicians who died in a tragic accident in November.

This Saturday at Council Park in Somerton, 18 bands will be playing back-to-back throughout the day to benefit the families of four musicians who lost their lives.

Ricardo Madrid, Ruben Hernandez, Andres Sandoval, and Leo Neblina were members of the Selena Tribute Group "Los Chicos Del 512" and a tribute group for the Mexican rock band, "Mana."

The crash happened Friday, November 18, 2022, as the band was on its way to play in Kansas.

Some of the members were also local educators and touched the lives of many students.

The entrance fee is five dollars and all proceeds will go to the families of those affected.
