San Francisco Giants ink Carlos Correa to 13-year, $350 million deal
Giants swing big for the big ticket shortstop after falling short on Aaron Judge deal
(KYMA, KECY) - According to ESPN reports, two-time All-Star shortstop Carlos Correa and the San Francisco Giants have agreed on a 13-year contract worth $350 million.
Correa, who turned down $160 million from Houston last year before shipping off to Minnesota, now gets the most money an infielder has ever seen.
The Giants seemingly stamping their franchise player after coming up short to the Yankees in the bid for Aaron Judge last week.
Correa was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 MLB Draft and made his way through the Houston Astros system on his way to the Rookie of the Year Award in 2015. All of this before being the face of controversy following the 2017 World Series title where Houston was penalized for cheating.
