UPDATE: Westmorland hit and run case stays at a standstill after victim dies

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The victim of last month's hit and run in Westmorland has died from her injuries.
The driver behind the wheel is still nowhere to be found.
Chief Perry Monitas with the Westmorland Police Department says the situation is tenser.

"It has been upgraded from a felony hit and run traffic collision to a vehicular homicide," he said in a statement sent to KYMA.
Monitas says the investigation has come to a standstill unless someone comes forward with new information.
