Sierra Morris and Amy Riley power Imperial past Brawley for 19th win on the season

IMPERIAL, Calif. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - In an Imperial Valley League showdown between Imperial and Brawley, the Imperial girls basketball team jumped out to a 14-0 start and never looked back in a 58-17 win on Tuesday night.

The Tigers will look to notch their 20th win on the season at home versus Holtville on Thursday before wrapping up the regular season on Friday at Emma Lou Hansen Gym against Vincent Memorial.

In boys basketball, the Central Spartans swept the season series against Brawley with a 65-54 win on Tuesday.

The Yuma Catholic boys soccer team fell to Phoenix Country Day 9-1 in the first round of the AIA state Class 3A playoffs.

In college softball, Arizona Western fell to Chandler-Gilbert 13-12 & 15-5.
