Vincent Memorial knocks off the top seed in boys basketball while Central falls at home

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV) - A number of prep boys basketball team were in action on Friday night in their quest for a CIF San Diego Section Division Championship. The biggest upset came in Division V where the Vincent Memorial Scots defeated the top seed Liberty Charter 63-55. The Scots advance to the division semifinals and next play St. Joseph Academy on Tuesday.

In another upset, the 2 seed Central Spartans were surprised at home by the 7 seeded Bobcats of Sage Creek 77-55. The Spartans got off to a slow start and never recovered. In other action, the 12 seed Calexico Bulldogs saw their season come to an end on the road versus 4 seed Hoover
