Yuma’s finalized 2017-2018 fiscal year budget adjusts funding to Yuma Visitors Bureau

It started as a $250-thousand dollar cut in funding but was eventually finalized to a $50,000 cut.

The Executive Director of the Yuma Visitors Bureau says for about the past 10 years the organization received $650,000 from the City of Yuma for each fiscal year. This year the Visitors Bureau was initially proposed $400,000… a $250,000 cut. However, the Yuma City Council eventually approved an adjusted fiscal year budget of $214,000,000, giving the Visitors bureau $600,000 of that and a reduced $50,000 cut in funding.
