Even before taking office President Donald J. Trump attacked former President Barack Obama with regards to his travel expenses. Years later President Trump is now the victim of attackers questioning his travels and their cost.
President Trump has spent the last three weekends at his Mar-a-Lago Resort in Florida, costing taxpayers millions. The biggest chunk of his travels is Air Force One which according to analysts costs $180,000 an hour to operate; once on the ground the Secret Service, local sheriffs and the Coast Guard patrolling the beach around the resort add to the cost.
Based on a similar trip by former President Obama to Florida analysts estimate the cost to be around $10 million so far.
