Man wanted in Philadelphia for wearing Chucky mask and terrorizing women has been arrested in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (NBC, KYMA) - A man wanted in Philadelphia for wearing a Chucky mask and terrorizing women in the city has been arrested in Las Vegas.

Police in Philadelphia began looking for the suspect after several women reported being chased by a man wearing a Chucky mask earlier this month and reportedly saying, "Are you ready to die?"

He was later identified by officials as 22-year-old Zymire Hughes and warrants were issued for his arrest.

That's when he apparently left the city and traveled to Las Vegas where he hunkered down in an apartment complex.

U.S. Marshals conducted surveillance of the complex for several days, ultimately taking Hughes into custody when he came out of the building to surrender.

Hughes is being held at the Clark County Detention Center waiting to be extradited to Pennsylvania.
