Arizona primary produces three winners in South Yuma County

SOUTH YUMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KYMA) - There are now three winners after the primary elections in South Yuma County.

In San Luis, Arizona, Erik Luzanilla got enough votes to win one of the open seats on the San Luis City Council.

Over in Somerton, City Council candidate Jose Moreno was elected while Mayor Gerardo Anaya got enough votes to stay for another term.

Mayor Anaya said he will continue working for the City of Somerton.

"My top priority are with being the last two terms I have served as mayor, and is has been responsible growth and building infrastructure to support that growth," Anaya said.

The midterm elections in November will have several key races, including San Luis mayor and the San Luis and Somerton City Councils.
