Tracking slightly warmer temperatures and breezier conditions

Weather Authority/ KYMA

It's been a beautiful week, but I am tracking slightly warmer temperatures and breezier conditions starting Friday and into the weekend.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Happy Thursday! It's been an another pleasant and comfortable day. And today is National Donut Day!

If you are heading out this evening to get a donut, I am tracking more nice weather just temperatures will be getting pretty chilly as the night goes on.

Tracking another chilly morning by tomorrow morning. Overnight lows will be in the upper 50s and low 60s by Friday morning. Make sure to grab a sweater before heading out the door.

As a lower pressure system continues to stay toward the north and work it's way more east in the coming days it will allow our temperatures to warm up a little bit and bring in some stronger winds.

On our futuretrack hour-by-hour, tracking some northerly winds to bring in some breezy conditions later this week and into the weekend. Highest gusts could reach up to 30 MPH Friday night. Take a look.

As we inch closer to the weekend, I am tracking slightly warmer temperatures as highs will be in the 80s, but still will be nice to be outside. We will also stay breezy through the weekend.

YEARLY RAIN CHECK: Now, let's look at where Yuma stands with our yearly rainfall total. Since the start of the year, so far in 2026, Yuma has accumulated 1.22", which is a small amount.

Comparing it with our 2026 yearly average, we actually should be at 2.62", which is well below normal. We are really below for the year by -1.42".

However, with what Yuma has accumulated so far for 2026 and compared to our total around this same time back in 2025, we were actually at 2.62" in 2025. Around this time last year, we had more measurable rain recorded.
