Island Fire’s containment increases to 75%

LA PAZ COUNTY, Ariz. (KYMA) - The U.S. Wildland Fire Service has provided an update on the Island Fire Thursday.

The fire, which is burning at Cibola National Wildlife Refuge, is 75% contained, and its acreage remains at nearly 3,150 acres.

However, the Island Management Unit at the refuge, as well as Hart Mine Road, remains closed to the public.
