Preparations underway for 79th Annual Tony Awards

NEW YORK (CBS, KYMA) - Preparations are underway at Radio City Music Hall ahead of the 79th Annual Tony Awards.

Last month, the nominees were announced, with "The Lost Boys" and "Schmigadoon!" leading the field as they each earned 12 nominations, including Best Musical.

"The Balusters," "Giant," the Pulitzer Prize-winning show "Liberation," and "Little Bear Ridge Road" are all up for Best Play in a strong year for original theater.

Singer Pink is hosting the 79th Annual Tony Awards, taking place Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 5 p.m. Pacific on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
