Yuma High Schools sent a record-breaking number of wrestlers

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Yuma area high schools sent a record-breaking 49 wrestlers to the AIA State Wrestling Tournament at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix.

Derryel Medel signed her letter of intent to play softball at San Diego City College.

The U.S.A added to their medal count once again.

  • Vincent Memorial beat Rock Academy 3-2 in overtime

Imperial Valley Girls Basketball

  • Academy of our Lady Peace beat Calexico 54-43
  • Imperial beat Scripps Ranch 56-34
  • Central beat San Diego 54-52
