Arizona Wildcats keep undefeated season going, Mike McCarthy hired by Pittsburgh Steelers

YUMA, Ariz. (KECY) - Arizona Western came into today with a combined 8-0 conference record and walked out of "The House" with at a combined 8-2. Both teams suffered close losses to Eastern Arizona. The women lost 56-53, while the men took a trip into overtime where they fell 94-90.

The University of Arizona had a different outcome in defending its undefeated record. They had an easy day at the office with an 88-53 win against West Virginia.

Mike McCarthy was named as the Pittsburgh Steelers' next head coach today. McCarthy has plenty of experience as an NFL head coach spending five years with the Dallas Cowboys and 13 years with the Green Bay Packers.
