NBC 11 Sports: Day One of Inaugural Battle on the Border Tournament kicks off with success

Yuma Catholic is playing host to seven other schools for this three day tournament, and the first day was a hit

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Yuma Catholic launched the Battle on the Border Tournament for the first year, and Day One was a success featuring three games.

Cibola defeated Holtville 58-42 in a border battle to kick off the first game of the tournament.

Later in the evening, the Shamrocks cruised past the Criminals 68 to 33 to end the night.

The midday game of the tournament featured The Gregory School and Parker, in a 63-60 overtime thriller.
