Insider Blog: November 2025 Weather Recap

Weather Authority/ KYMA

November was an overall warm month with more days ABOVE normal. Also, we can't forget about the above-normal rainfall we received here in Yuma. Take a look at our weather recap and stats for the month of November.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - All of November, we had more days ABOVE normal for the month. Yuma also TIED a daily high temperature record of 91 degrees on November 10.

The warmest days of the month were on November 2 and 3 with a high of 92 degrees. The coolest daytime high was on November 22, when Yuma reached 59 degrees.

We did have some record warm low temperatures on November 10 with 66 degrees, 64 degrees on November 14 and November 15.

We had multiple days where Yuma had measurable rain and even broke a daily rain total record by the middle of the month.

The rain we did get this month really helped our monthly rain numbers for the month of November. Our rain total for the month leaves us at 1.44", and our monthly average is 0.23", so that leaves us well above our monthly average by 1.21".

Now, this month isn't ranked the wettest, but it ranked eighth with the number one wettest for November is 2.44" in 1905.

We forget about the daily rain total record we made this month.

On Friday, November 21, 0.96" was recorded in Yuma, which beats the daily record of 0.33" that was set back in 2013.

Now, let's look at where Yuma stands with our yearly rain total. Since the start of the year, so far for 2025, Yuma has accumulated 4.06", and comparing it with our 2025 yearly average, we actually should be at 2.85," which is well above normal.

However, with what Yuma has accumulated so far for 2025 and comparing it to our total around this same time back in 2024, we were actually at 2.21" in 2024. So Yuma is crushing it with well-above-normal rainfall so far this year.

We can't forget about our drought conditions, but we have seen HUGE improvements within the last several months and even at the start of the year.

At the start of the year, the majority of the Desert Southwest was under severe drought, with a chunk of La Paz in extreme drought.

In May 2025, Yuma reached EXCEPTIONAL drought conditions. At the end of August 28, Yuma was still showing exceptional drought conditions.

Take a look at our drought conditions in January and back in May.

TODAY: The last drought monitor for November was on November 27, and it was showing that a big chunk of Yuma and Imperial County wasn't displaying drought, and you may notice the Desert Southwest is no longer experiencing extreme or exceptional drought.

The Desert Southwest is now only seeing dry and moderate drought conditions.
