Holtville wins first league matchup in return to IVL since 1959, Imperial leads IVL with 2-0 start, Antelope retains Telegraph Pass Cup

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - NBC's Friday Night Lights aired their ninth show during the eighth week of the high school football season.

In one of the oldest rivalries we cover, the Antelope Rams prevailed in a 45-20 win against the San Pasqual Warriors in the Telegraph Pass Cup.

Imperial cruised past Calexico 34-6 in their second league win of the season as they sit at the top of the IVL. Meanwhile, Calexico is at the bottom, opening IVL play 0-2.

Holtville made their presence known in their long awaited return to the IVL, beating Central 32-27 in a barn burner. The Vikings stopped the Spartans on fourth down backed up in their own red zone to seal the game.
