News 11 Sports: Gila Ridge thumps Kofa, Jacqueline Smith wins District Championship

The Hawks won their sixth straight, cruising past the Kings 63-6, Jacqueline smith wins Yuma District Championship for second year in a row

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Gila Ridge Hawks remain hot, winning their sixth straight 63-6 against the Kofa Kings who are having their best season since 2017.

In the Valley, the Calipatria Hornets blew out a team as well. The Somerton Toros would fall 48-3 as they still search for their first win of the season.

On the links, Kofa King Jacqueline Smith won the Girls Golf Individual Yuma District Championship, shooting a career low 84. She got there with a birdie and eight pars.

At the same time, Gila Ridge had the best overall team.
