Arizona Western women's soccer extends perfect record with narrow victory

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The Padres bounced back after a rough loss to the league-worst Colorado Rockies on Friday night with a big 11-3 win.

Gila Ridge hosted the Hawks Nest Invitational with both the boys and girls varsity teams finishing in second place.

Arizona Western women's soccer outdueled Eastern Arizona 2-1 with a goal from sophomore Linka Ono with four minutes remaining in the game to improve to a 6-0 record.

The Monsters' goal is the first the Matadors have let up all season.
