CBS 13 SPORTS: Gila Ridge ready for new region and new results in 2025

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - After going 5-5 last season and finishing second in the 4A Southwest Region, the Gila Ridge Hawks are setting their sights higher in 2025.

Head Coach Jessica Slaughter says the team returns most of its starters, including the entire offensive line.

Junior Isaac Solis will take over at quarterback, and the Hawks are treating this season as a "reload, not a rebuild."

With stronger conditioning and a sharper mindset, Gila Ridge hopes to flip last year's close losses and make a serious playoff push.
